Flag Manufacturers Association of America (FMAA)
The Flag Manufacturers Association of America (FMAA) established the “Certified Made in the U.S.A. ” certification program to ensure that American flags are homegrown with pride. “Certified Made in the U.S.A. ” certifies that your American flag has been made in the U.S. of materials that are domestic in origin and that all processes in every step of its manufacture were completed in U.S. facilities with U.S. labor.
U.S. law requires every American flag be labeled with its country of origin. Only the FMAA “Certified Made in the U.S.A. ” certification seal assures the standards and continued compliance as monitored by a professional association and its domestic members. National Independent Flag Dealer Association (NIFDA)
National Independent Flag Dealer Association is an organization that is a collective group of individuals and businesses that understand our country's symbol: what it means, its importance, and its history. NIFDA members understand that the flag will forever wave as long as Americans continue to appreciate what it stands for.
NIFDA’s Code of Ethics:
All members of NIFDA will maintain high standards of ethical practice in the conduct of their business.
Recognizing that the United States flag is the symbol of United States sovereignty, members, will strictly adhere to a policy of selling in the United States US flags that are "Made in the USA".
When manufacturing flags, members will use only high quality domestic fabrics and threads, when available, and will maintain high standards of quality in the production process. IV. As leaders in our industry, members will strive to set an example for others through positive community involvement. V. Members will also treat customers, employees, business associates and other members with the utmost respect and consideration.
Advertising Specialty Products (ASI)
Flags USA has been a member of ASI (Advertising Specialty Products) since 2008.
The Advertising Specialty Institute, or ASI, has been providing award-winning products and services to the advertising specialty and promotional products industry for over 50 years. Advertising specialties are useful or interesting items or merchandise, usually carrying an imprinted advertising or promotional message, given with no obligation. Also known as giveaways or promotional products.
Not everyone that applies for an ASI number can have one – not even if they pay more. The criteria applied to ASI membership makes the ASI number something to aspire to and be proud of. It encourages members to conduct themselves with the utmost professionalism, providing excellent service to their customers and colleagues. The ASI number is the mark of pride for the true professional.
